Titans WR Kenny Britt is out for an "extended period of time," according to head coach Jeff Fisher, who told PFW correspondent and Tennessean reporter Jim Wyatt that Britt will have an MRI on Monday to look at his injured right hamstring.
It has been an eventful past few weeks for Britt, who was involved in a Nashville bar fight on Oct. 22 that led to him being suspended for the first part of the team's Week Seven game vs. the Eagles. He responded with a career-high game vs. Philly, posting 7-225-3 in the Titans' win. In the first quarter of the team's Week Eight loss to the Chargers, Britt pulled his hamstring after running downfield trying to haul in a Vince Young pass.
Fisher said after the game that Britt's hamstring had been, "tightening up throughout the course of the week."
The way we see it
Nate Washington filled in well for Britt as the team's top receiver on Sunday, recording 4-117-1 in the loss. The Titans have a Week Nine bye, so hopefully Britt will return to the field without missing too much action.
