David Garrard has recovered from a concussion and is expected to start in Week Eight for the Jaguars.
The veteran QB suffered a head injury in Jacksonville's Week Six loss to the Titans, missing the final three quarters of the game and the entire Week Seven matchup with the Chiefs, both losses for the Jaguars. Trent Edwards and Todd Bouman each saw time under center in Garrard's absence, but both reserves struggled.
Garrard has thrown for 838 yards, nine touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.
The way we see it
The way the Titans, Colts and Texans are playing, it is important for Jacksonville to start turning things around if they want to compete in the AFC South. Garrard gives the Jags the best chance to win Sunday afternoon vs. the Cowboys, a game both teams can't afford to lose.
Garrard is not a legit fantasy option, nor are his receivers outside of TE Marcedes Lewis. Expect a heavy dose of RB Maurice Jones-Drew as the team tries to keep Garrard healthy and safe.
