Vikings QB Brett Favre was carted off the field with a facial laceration. His return is questionable.

Favre took a hit to the chin in the fourth quarter by Patriots DL Myron Pryor. Vikings team doctors held his jaw carefully while on the cart. His chinstrap was noticeably bloodied.

Tarvaris Jackson replaced Favre and threw a TD pass and converted the two-point conversion.

The way we see it

There were thoughts earlier in the week that Jackson would finally get to start with Favre's ankle injury, but the veteran was able to start. Favre was visibly in pain and did not open his mouth. Jackson now has the opportunity to try and engineer a comeback.
