Titans QB Young expected to start Sunday

The 5-2 Titans should have their starting QB back for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Vince Young, who missed Week Seven's win over the Eagles after spraining his left knee and ankle in Week Six, is expected to start on Sunday.

Young went through a full week of practice and was listed as probable in the team's injury report. A Titans team official told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday morning that Young was expected to start.

The Titans have won three in a row and sit atop the AFC South. Young has thrown seven TDs and just two INTs this season.

The way we see it

While backup QB Kerry Collins led the team to two victories in Young's absence, the Titans are better served with the mobile Young at the helm. He has been more accurate this season (61.4 percent completion mark) but will have a big test against the Chargers' top-ranked passing defense. If he does struggle against San Diego, though, Collins could come into the game to get the passing game on track.

Fantasy spin

Young may be back, but he shouldn't be an automatic start — unless you are in a two-QB league or need a spot start. The Chargers shut down Patriots QB Tom Brady last week, and Young, who has yet to throw for over 200 yards in a game this season, has a tough task ahead of him on Sunday.
