The Dolphins signed S Jonathon Amaya from their practice squad on Saturday and placed FB Deon Anderson on the reserve/injured list.

The 'Fins signed Anderson before Week Seven after an injury to FB Lousaka Polite. Amaya signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted rookie out of Nevada on April 30.

The way we see it

Polite has returned to full health, so the loss of Anderson (triceps) is not a huge blow. Rookie S Reshad Jones (knee) will miss Sunday's game against the Bengals, and rookie CB Nolan Carroll (ankle) is questionable. Jones and Carroll are top special-teams contributors, so Amaya will likely help in that aspect on Sunday.
