Here's a look at a key matchup heading into the Week Eight battle between the Packers and Jets.

Packers CBs Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams and Sam Shields vs. Jets WRs Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes and Jerricho Cotchery

It will be interesting to see how Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers chooses to employ his starting corners against Edwards, who has been the Jets' No. 1 receiver most of the season up to now, and the slightly speedier Holmes, who could be on a fast track toward taking over the No. 1 role as he enters his third game after missing the first four games due to suspension. Edwards is gaining 16.3 yards per catch with four TDs and is doing a better job of holding on to passes this season. Holmes had four catches for 47 yards in his second game back from his suspension a couple of weeks ago before the Jets' bye.

Against the Vikings last Sunday night, Williams, who continues to be the Packers' best corner this season, defended Randy Moss most of the time. Woodson, who for some reason has had a hard time staying on his feet and has been prone to more penalties, concentrated on Percy Harvin. Shields will set his sights primarily on Cotchery (20 catches for 154 yards and one TD), an effective possession receiver who is hard to bring down.

An X-factor for the Packers could be Al Harris if the team decides to activate him from the physically-unable-to-perform list in time for this game. Should that happen, it's most likely Harris will share the No. 3 CB duties with Shields.
