PFW’s Packers fantasy crystal ball is a bit blurry at the WR position due to the unsure status of veteran No. 2 WR Donald Driver heading into the game against the Jets this Sunday. Obviously at less than full strength because of a nagging thigh injury, Driver’s streak of 139 games with at least one reception was snapped last week. As was the case last week, he had not practiced heading into Friday, but daily team observers tell us that, if he remains true to form, Driver will somehow find a way to play Sunday.
At the same time, though, a better fantasy option very well could be normal No. 3 WR James Jones, considering the way he escaped from WR coach Jimmy Robinson’s doghouse with an eye-opening four-catch, 107-yard effort against the Vikings last Sunday night. As for Greg Jennings, all you need to know is that he will probably be spending most of his time on “Revis Island” this Sunday, which could drop his fantasy stock a tad for at least one week.
