The Bengals have elevated S Rico Murray from their practice squad to the 53-man roster.
Murray spent time with the Bengals a year ago, playing in five games (including the playoffs) and registering two tackles. He was cut by the team at the end of training camp, but has been on the practice squad since Sept. 5.
The way we see it
With injuries to safeties Chinedum Ndukwe (knee) and Roy Williams (knee), the Bengals required more depth at the position. Murray is the perfect fill-in, as he already knows Mike Zimmer's defense from having spent a year with the team.
