Here's a matchup to watch in the Week Eight game between the Patriots and Vikings:

Patriots OLT Matt Light vs. Vikings DE Jared Allen

Neither veteran is having a great season, which is why this is a battle to keep an eye on. The Patriots started the season in great fashion protecting QB Tom Brady, allowing just two sacks through three games. Since then, he has been sacked 10 times.

Light gave up a strip-sack to Jets OLB Jason Taylor in Week Two and gave up a sack in the red zone to the Chargers on Sunday. The two-time Pro Bowler has not had his best performance this season protecting Brady's blind side.

Allen also hasn't been the monster on the D-line that we are used to seeing. Through six games, he has just one sack after three consecutive seasons with at least 14½ sacks. He did pick off a pass against the Packers Sunday night.

Teams have found success slowing down the Patriots' passing attack by getting pressure on Brady. The Chargers held him to just 159 passing yards and sacked him four times. The Vikings will be counting on Allen to rattle Brady, with the Patriots expecting Light to step up and hold his ground.
