Bengals QB Carson Palmer unexpectedly missed practice on Thursday because of a sore hip but is expected to play vs. the Dolphins on Sunday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
If Palmer is unable to play, his younger brother Jordan would get his first career start. Jordan Palmer last played in an NFL game in December 2008.
The Bengals' secondary also was down a few key members at practice. CBs Leon Hall (hamstring) and Morgan Trent (knee), as well as S Chinedum Ndukwe (knee), all missed a second consecutive day, and S Roy Williams (knee) is expected to miss his third straight game in Week Eight.
The way we see it
Carson Palmer has had an up-and-down season, but the team will struggle to beat Miami if he is not in the lineup. Same goes for many of the key secondary players, though the Enquirer reported that most would play.
