The Giants' recent hot streak has allowed them to concern themselves with tweaking a few things on each side of the ball: better third-down conversions and fewer interceptions on offense, better red-zone defense. But there is no such luxury on special teams, where both return games have struggled mightily, the coverage teams have been well below average and the punting game has been, at times, a nightmare. The Giants have attempted to kick-start their return teams by adding injury-prone but electric RS Will Blackmon. Although Darius Reynaud remains on the roster for now, that could change. Who knew that QB Sage Rosenfels, acquired from the Vikings along with Reynaud, would have a bigger impact on special teams by becoming the team's (capable) holder on FG attempts? Blackmon won't fix every ill, but he could get one element of the Giants' special teams going if he's healthy. He has the breakaway ability that Reynaud lacks.
