Offensive coordinator Mike Martz on seeing improvement from the offensive line: "I think this is a critical point because the play of the offensive line was substantially better from even the week before and I think that's going to be huge. What (O-line coach) Mike (Tice) has done with that group is pretty remarkable when you look at it, all the different changes. The job he's done with J'Marcus Webb in particular."
QB Jay Cutler on where the team stands heading into a Week Eight bye: "We're 4-3. We're still on top of the division, but there's some stuff we have to clean up and that's what we're going to do."
Bears head coach Lovie Smith on the bye coming at a good time after two consecutive losses: "We need to take a step back. Sometimes when it's not going exactly the way you would like, you need to take a step back."
