The Chiefs signed veteran LB Mark Simoneau on Wednesday and released DE Atiyyah Ellison.

Simoneau has played in 123 games with 68 starts with the Saints, Eagles and Falcons. He has seven career sacks among his 525 career tackles. The Falcons drafted Simoneau in the third-round of the 2000 NFL draft.

The way we see it

The Chiefs' defense has played well for the most part this season, with Romeo Crennel's crew sixth against the run. Simoneau has a lot of game experience and can help even more in that category. The Chiefs play the Bills on Sunday.
