Jaguars QB David Garrard passed his post-concussion tests and has been cleared to play.

Garrard sustained the concussion in a 30-3 loss to the Titans on Monday night in Week Six. He sat out Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. Head coach Jack Del Rio said Monday that Garrard would start Sunday's game against the Cowboys if cleared.

The Jaguars lost backup Luke McCown for the season to a knee injury, and Trent Edwards sprained his thumb when he replaced Garrard in the Monday-nighter. Sunday's starter, Todd Bouman, injured the ring finger on his throwing hand while making a tackle. QB Patrick Ramsey is also on the roster.

The way we see it

The Jags play the Cowboys at a good time, with Dallas reeling. Bouman did not play too poorly in his start on Sunday, but the Jaguars' offense has to be pleased to have Garrard back.

Fantasy Spin

If you have Garrard on your roster, he will be available and could have a decent day against Dallas. He's still worth a start only in two-QB leagues or if your starter is on a bye. Garrard's return could keep defenses honest and allow for more running room for Maurice Jones-Drew.
