Concerns about the Rams' offense caused many owners to pass on RB Steven Jackson this summer. But thanks to an improved passing game, Jackson is doing just fine.

Unlike in recent years, when defenses have been able to stack the box against St. Louis to contain Jackson and force the team's below-average quarterback to air it out, that hasn't been the case in 2010. The main reason for that is the impressive play of rookie QB Sam Bradford, who is outplaying most expectations this season.

As a result, opponents are being forced to respect the pass, opening up running lanes for Jackson. He certainly has responded, rushing for at least 100 yards in three consecutive games. He also is getting the ball a ton (21.3 carries per game), a great sign for his fantasy owners.

As long as Bradford continues to keep defenses honest, Jackson shouldn't have to worry about facing eight men in the box on every down, so things should be much easier for him than what he has been used to. And with the Panthers on the schedule this week, he has a great shot to make it four games in a row of 100-plus yards on the ground.
