The Packers are still not close to full strength due to injuries, but they are slowly but surely getting healthier, which should help them Sunday evening against arch nemesis Brett Favre and the Vikings. The return of LBs Clay Matthews and Brandon Chillar adds badly needed fire and flexibility to Dom Capers’ defense, which I have a feeling might have a big night on what could be a slippery, rain-soaked Lambeau Field.

I see both Matthews and the recently beleaguered Charles Woodson having big games. I also see Aaron Rodgers outdueling Brett Favre, who could be under a lot more pressure than he was in the two games last year. I see WRs Greg Jennings and Donald Driver having an edge if the field is wet, and don’t be surprised if the Packers get a surprising lift from their Brandon Jackson-led ground game. It could go down to the wire again, but it just seems like the Packers are due to win a close one.

Prediction: Packers 27, Vikings 23
