Here's a matchup to watch in the Week Seven game between the Patriots and Chargers:
Chargers SS Paul Oliver vs. Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez
Remember in Week One when Hernandez hauled in a 45-yard catch down the left sideline when WR Randy Moss had cleared out the right sideline? Well, without Moss for the first time, a similar thing happened in Week Six when Hernanez was wide open along the left sideline for a 30-yard catch. He went on to go 4-for-61 receiving and added an 18-yard run. Hernandez was not slowed down by the Ravens' defense.
It'll likely be Oliver who gets the task of covering the Patriots' leader in receiving yards. Oliver, a fourth-year veteran, has 23 tackles in six games and two starts this season, adding a forced fumble. The Chargers have faced some solid tight ends this season (the Chiefs' Tony Moeaki, the Jaguars' Marcedes Lewis and the Raiders' Zach Miller), but none as versatile as Hernandez, who can play in the slot as well as H-back.
