The return to action of DBs Al Harris and Atari Bigby was held off for at least another week, with the Packers deciding not to activate them from the physically-unable-to-perform list, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Harris and Bigby began practicing earlier this week after spending the first six weeks of the season on the PUP list on the mend from knee and ankle injuries, respectively.
In other news, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writer and PFW correspondent Bob McGinn reported that rookie DE Mike Neal was probably headed for injured reserve with a shoulder injury suffered earlier in the season against Washington.
The way we see it
Both Harris and Bigby sounded optimistic earlier in the week about possibly playing against Minnesota, but the Packers are being cautious, which is probably a smart move with more than half of the season still remaining. The news about Neal is a disappointment. When he was able to play, he looked like a very promising player with great natural strength. The Packers are hoping he's not another Justin Harrell in the making.
