Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean is reporting that Titans WR Kenny Britt was involved in a bar fight early Friday morning at the Nashville nightclub Karma.

Police said a fight between two men broke out in the bar area of the club. Witnesses identified Britt, 22, as being involved in the fight and striking one of the men. The Titans' 2009 first-round draft pick was not present when police officers arrived at the club, and he reportedly has not been interviewed by police.

According to police, a disorderly conduct call was made early Friday morning after a fight at the club.

Britt has not been arrested or charged in what Nashville Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron called an "open misdemeanor assault investigation.''

Britt, who is scheduled to start for Tennessee in Sunday's game against the Eagles at LP Field, has scored a touchdown in four consecutive games. He has 16 catches for 209 yards and four TDs on the season.

The way we see it

Britt had a terrible offseason, displaying questionable work habits and maddening inconsistency on the field. However, things had seemed to click for him recently, and he told PFW that his improved film study had been a big part of his turnaround. He was emerging as a major factor in the Titans' passing game and, with TDs in four consecutive games, was playing his way into fantasy starting lineups.

It's best to wait and see how the Titans handle this situation. Britt has been in the coaches' doghouse before and could go there again. If you need to use him this week, keep an eye on his status up until game time Sunday.
