Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall and defensive coordinator Jim Haslett got into a confrontation on Tuesday over pass coverage instructions, according to a report in the Washington Post.

Head coach Mike Shanahan met privately with Hall and singled him out at a team meeting. Hall felt he was getting mixed signals on pass coverage. Redskins employees told the Post that Hall and Haslett have a good relationship and there should be "no lingering animosity."

This is the second time Hall has voiced his displeasure regarding Haslett's schemes. After a loss to the Texans in Week Two, Hall voiced his displeasure with Haslett's strategy, believing he should cover the opponent's top receiver. In that loss, Texans WR Andre Johnson had a big game, catching the game-tying TD without Hall on him.

The way we see it

The last thing the struggling Redskins need is tension between players and coaches. It seems, per the report, that this will not happen again this season, but for a player to call out a coach twice in a season is something of note.
