The injuries are piling up for the Colts. Just hours after team president Bill Polian said TE Dallas Clark will be out indefinitely with a wrist injury, the team announced that WR Austin Collie underwent thumb surgery. There is no set time for his return to action.

In six games this season, Collie has caught 44 passes for 503 yards with six touchdowns, good for fifth in the league in receiving yards and tied for second in touchdowns. Along with Clark, he is one of QB Peyton Manning's favorite targets on third down.

The Colts have a well-needed bye this week. Starting RB Joseph Addai left Sunday night's game with a shoulder injury and could be out. They have been missing WR Anthony Gonzalez, but he could play soon after returning to practice last week.

Also on Thursday, the team announced that DT Antonio Johnson had knee surgery, which will sideline him for an undetermined amount of time.

The way we see it

This is just the latest in a horrible string of injuries for the Colts. Undrafted rookie Blair White will step into the spotlight, and he has made some big catches this season. Manning still has WRs Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon, but he is missing his top third-down targets.

Fantasy spin

Collie has been a huge fantasy producer this season. But this means that Garcon and White's fantasy values increase. The fact that Wayne and Collie totaled so many receiving yards and TDs means one, or both, of Garcon and White could rack up some fantasy points in Manning's offense after the Week Seven bye.
