The Jaguars have signed QBs Todd Bouman and Patrick Ramsey after David Garrard (concussion) and Trent Edwards (thumb) suffered injuries in Monday night's loss to the Titans.

Jacksonville released Bouman on Oct. 5 after the team decided to go with Edwards as its backup quarterback. Ramsey spent the preseason with the Saints before being cut prior to the start of the season.

Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio has said there is a good chance both Garrard and Edwards will miss Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Jacksonville released S Gerald Alexander and LB Jacob Cutrera to make room for the two quarterbacks.

The way we see it

With their top two quarterbacks injured, the Jags are exploring all available options. Bouman has been in Jags' camp each of the past two seasons in addition to the 2007 season, so he is familiar with the offense. Ramsey is younger and more talented, but will have to learn the system.

Fantasy Spin

Maurice Jones-Drew, who likely will be in your starting lineup no matter who is under center for the Jaguars, should see an increased workload against Kansas City's stout run "D." MJD will also frequently see eight and nine men in the box, but that is nothing new for the Jaguars' best player. The stock of Marcedes Lewis, Mike Thomas and Mike Sims-Walker drops significantly with Bouman or Ramsey running the offense, however.
