Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Sunday's Week Seven game between the Redskins and Bears.
Redskins OLB Brian Orakpo vs. Bears' pass protection
Pressure off the edge has given the Bears' pass protection trouble all season, and it will have another disruptive rusher to contend with this week in Redskins OLB Brian Orakpo.
Orakpo already has five sacks this season, including one last week against Peyton Manning in which he forced a fumble, and Manning rarely coughs up the ball. He's done it only six times since the start of the 2008 season.
Washington will move Orakpo to different spots and will try to disguise where the pass rushers are coming from. This could confuse the Bears' offense, which didn't do a good job of picking up blitzers last week vs. the Seahawks.
If offensive coordinator Mike Martz continues to call for QB Jay Cutler to take deep drops, Orakpo will have plenty of time to get into the backfield and he could have a big day.
Orakpo has been the Redskins' lone consistent source of pressure, however, so there's less risk involved if the Bears focus on double-teaming him.
