The NFL fined Falcons CB Dunta Robinson $50,000 for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Eagles WR DeSean Jackson in Sunday's game.
Both players lay on the ground for minutes before being helped off the field. Jackson's concussion had been reported as "severe," while Robinson suffered a concussion of his own.
NFL executive VP of football operations Ray Anderson said in letters to each of the three players fined on Tuesday, "Future offenses will result in an escalation of fines up to and including suspension."
The way we see it
Robinson will get suspended if he repeats the offense. After the multiple violent hits on Sunday, the NFL is taking a stand starting in Week Seven by suspending players for delivering devastating hits, even if they are first-time offenders.
