The Dolphins signed FB Deon Anderson on Tuesday. The fourth-year veteran takes the roster spot opened up by Monday's release of ILB Bobby Carpenter.
Anderson has played in 39 games, with 18 starts, in a career spent with the Cowboys. Dallas cut him on Sept. 24. He is also an experienced special-teams player.
The way we see it
Anderson, known as a wedge buster, should help Miami's below-average kick-coverage teams. Starting FB Lousaka Polite left Sunday's win over the Packers before overtime with an undisclosed injury. RB Lex Hilliard played fullback in overtime.
