Raiders QB Jason Campbell suffered a knee injury in the first half of Sunday's Week Six 17-9 loss to the 49ers. CSNBayArea.com is reporting Campbell will undergo an MRI exam on Monday.
Campbell, who was sacked twice in the game, was uncertain as to the specific play his injury occurred. He was 8-of-21 passing for 83 yards in place of injured starter Bruce Gradkowski.
The way we see it
Campbell has yet to be the Jim-Plunkett-type QB owner Al Davis expected after acquiring Campbell in the offseason. He had his opportunity to win back the starting job, even with a healthy Gradkowski, if he played well on Sunday, but the offense moves the ball much better with Gradkowski at the helm. Next in line at QB for the Raiders if Campbell's injury is significant is Kyle Boller.
You shouldn't own any of the Raiders' QBs. Once Gradkowski is healthy, he might be worth a spot play if your starting QB is on bye, but only if it's a favorable matchup.
