Jaguars QB David Garrard left Monday night's game against the Titans in the second quarter after being hit by Titans LB Will Witherspoon as Garrard threw a pass. The Jaguars indicated at the start of the third quarter that Garrard had suffered a concussion and his return was unlikely.

Tennessee led 17-0 at halftime.

Garrard was replaced by Trent Edwards, who was signed Sept. 28 following his release by Buffalo. Edwards was 6-of-9 passing for 55 yards in the second quarter in relief of the ineffective Garrard (7-of-12, 49 yards, one INT).
