Broncos wide receiver and special-teams contributor Matt Willis has been placed on season-ending injured reserve after breaking his foot in Sunday's loss to the Jets.
Willis, a third-year player, suffered the injury in the first half. He had just one catch for 17 yards this season despite being second in the NFL in the preseason with 263 yards receiving.
The way we see it
The Broncos entered Sunday's game dealing with a host of injuries, especially on defense. Then WR Eddie Royal and DL Kevin Vickerson both left the Jets game with injuries, too. The Broncos likely will use Willis' roster spot to add some depth, particularly on special teams.
