Bears rookie DE Corey Wootton made his regular-season debut last week vs. the Panthers after being inactive each of the first four weeks. A fourth-round pick out of Northwestern, Wootton received his opportunity to play after the Bears cut DE Mark Anderson. It's not yet clear what Wootton's role will be for the rest of this season, but he could be competing with ninth-year veteran DE Charles Grant for playing time.

PFW caught up with Wootton at Halas Hall earlier this week. We discussed his first regular-season game and which of his teammates makes him laugh the most.

PFW: How did it feel to get out there for the first time and what things do you need to improve on to get more consistent playing time?

Wootton: It felt great to be out there, especially after sitting on the sideline for four straight weeks. It felt good to be out there, but you still have to improve and get better in every aspect of my game.

PFW: Which of your teammates makes you laugh the most?

Wootton: I'd probably say it's Anthony Adams or Tommie Harris. They're jokesters. They do impersonations. No one really does a Lovie (Smith) impersonation. Most of the time (they impersonate) our weight-room coach, Rusty Jones (director of physical development).

PFW: What's the best movie you've seen recently?

Wootton: It's not recent, but it just came out on DVD. "Kick-Ass." That was pretty cool. It was action, comedy. It had a little bit of everything.
