Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Sunday's Week Six battle between the Seahawks and Bears.

Seahawks RBs Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett vs. Bears' run defense

The Seahawks didn't have much success running the ball in the first four games and are gaining just 3.6 yards per carry. They're hoping the addition of RB Marshawn Lynch, who was acquired from the Bills before the bye in Week Five, will give the ground game a boost. The Seahawks are eager to see what he can do — head coach Pete Carroll already has said Lynch is the team's featured back. Justin Forsett will be the change-of-pace back in third-down situations.

Lynch may have a hard time providing that boost against Chicago, though. No team that has played five games has allowed fewer rushing yards than the Bears (393).

That sturdy run defense could be a bit less effective if WLB Lance Briggs, who missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, is unable to play because of ankle injury. Brian Iwuh, who has three career starts and usually contributes exclusively on special teams, would start in place of Briggs.

Iwuh will be tested when Seattle sends Lynch, a tough, straight-ahead runner, off tackle. Making stops and filling holes as well as Briggs, a perennial Pro Bowler, does is no easy task.
