Not everyone (read: Albert Haynesworth and DeAngelo Hall) was wild about the Redskins' defensive changes this season, going to a 3-4 scheme, but one player has been tickled with the results. SS LaRon Landry is playing his best football yet, making a ton of tackles and leading a resurgent group that got out of the gate slowly. Landry had his assignments and reads simplified this season with the move from free safety, and he's playing closer to the line of scrimmage, where he's around the ball more. When he was asked to cover half the field, or worse, up high in a single-safety look, Landry struggled to react to deep balls, even though he possesses great playing speed. But now that he's not having to cover a ton of ground, Landry has been freed up to make plays in a smaller radius, and the effects have been extremely positive.
