The wave of injuries that has hit the Broncos over the past few weeks should mean additional playing time for S David Bruton and CB Nate Jones. We hear both will play a part in replacing FS Brian Dawkins (knee), as well as his backup, Darcel McBath (ankle). "We both have a chance to go out there and fill the void, fill the role that (Dawkins) and Darcel have left," Bruton said, according to the team. "We all come here, we go into the same meetings, we all prepare the same — it's just now that it'll be one of our calls to go out there and step up." Bruton has played well on special teams, but Denver has been hesitant to use him in an expanded defensive role because of his limited range, according to a PFW insider. While Jones is the more athletic of the two, the cornerback has been needed at his position and may be forced to move around until the Broncos' secondary can regain its health.
