Rams are going to really miss Clayton

Rams rookie QB Sam Bradford can be forgiven for being politically correct when he said three days after the loss of  Mark Clayton that there was "definitely not a giant hole" in the Rams' receiving corps as a result of the wideout's season-ending knee injury in the team's ugly Week Five loss in Detroit. Truth be told, the loss of Clayton is more than a little major. "He had an incredible impact," one team insider said of Clayton. "Just look at what he did in his first game with the Rams after just three practices (10 catches for 119 yards). He and (slot WR Danny) Amendola were the only guys Bradford could trust." Unless Clayton, a free agent at the end of the season, has problems recovering from the knee injury, the consensus seems to be the Rams will go out of their way to re-sign him. "Why wouldn't they?" the insider said. "He's definitely (head coach Steve Spagnuolo's) type of player."
