It would appear Packers QB Aaron Rodgers might be able to play this Sunday after all, with reports out of Green Bay indicating he took the vast majority of snaps during a non-contact practice session open to the media Thursday morning. But no official word was given on the status of Rodgers, who suffered a concussion at the very end of the Packers’ Week Five loss to the Redskins.

Observers at the practice told PFW that both OLB Clay Matthews, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week Five, and DE Ryan Pickett, who injured his ankle very early in the same game, stood on the sideline and did not participate.

The way we see it

While this certainly looks like a good sign for Rodgers, it’s still premature to lock him in as Sunday’s starter. Look for the Packers to exercise extreme caution with Rodgers, who might be worth getting by without for one week if it improves his condition in the long term.
