As part of a four-way tie in the AFC South, the Colts look to keep pace with their rivals with a big game Sunday night vs. the Redskins. To come out on top, they will need to find a healthy body to run the ball.
The team's top three running backs — Joseph Addai, Donald Brown and Mike Hart — all face injury questions heading into the Week Six matchup. Addai (shoulder) and Hart (hip) each missed practice on Thursday, while Brown (hamstring) saw limited action. The only other RB on the team, Javarris James, was signed last week to provide depth at the position.
The way we see it
Running back injuries seem to be a weekly question for the Colts, but expect at least one of the players to be ready to go on Sunday. Last week it was Hart and Addai who got most of the work, rushing for 50 yards each in a win over the Chiefs. The Redskins rank 25th in average gain per rush attempt.
With all three players seen as day-to-day, fantasy owners should take a wait-and-see approach to who will start for the Colts on Sunday. And of course, play Peyton Manning, as now more than ever the team will be relying on his arm to move the ball without a consistent run game.
