Jets WR Santonio Holmes, CB Darrelle Revis and LB Calvin Pace are reportedly each scheduled to start in Monday night's game against the Vikings.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday morning that the three players not only will return to the field, but will start.
Revis (hamstring) has been out since the Jets' Week Two win against the Patriots. Pace (foot) has not played this season after suffering an injury in the preseason.
Holmes was suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
The way we see it
The Jets' vaunted defense finally appears healthy. While neither Revis nor Pace may be at 100 percent, the defense is better with them on the field. The question is whether or not Revis will cover Vikings WR Randy Moss. CB Antonio Cromartie shut Moss down when Revis left in Week Two's game against New England. Pace should add to the Jets' pass rush as they will look to rattle Vikes QB Brett Favre. Holmes should open things up downfield and gives QB Mark Sanchez another weapon on offense.
For those of you who drafted Holmes, your wait is now over and you can start him. Those of you who have reaped the benefits from WR Braylon Edwards and TE Dustin Keller in Holmes' absence, don't fret. Double-teams on Holmes could allow those two to continue to be productive.
