Chargers OLT Marcus McNeill has agreed to a five-year contract extension, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter, who cited a source familiar with the situation.

The financial terms of the extension were not immediately available. The extension, which is expected to be signed Tuesday, will add five years to McNeill's one-year deal, keeping him in San Diego through 2015.

McNeill held out through training camp and the beginning of the regular season because he wanted a long-term contract, before he agreed to sign his one-year restricted free-agent tender on Sept. 25. The five-year extension provides him with the financial security he was seeking from the team all along.

McNeill was activated from the commissioner's exempt list earlier today and will play in Sunday's game at St. Louis.

Meanwhile, Chargers WR Vincent Jackson continues his holdout, with no indication that he'll report to the team any time soon.
