The Buccaneers announced C Jeff Faine will be out "a few weeks" after he suffered a quadriceps injury.

Faine left Sunday's 24-21 victory over the Bengals with assistance and did not return.

The eight-year veteran has started all 98 games he has played in his career, including 32 with the Bucs.

The way we see it

Jeremy Zuttah replaced Faine at center when he left the game. We expect Zutah to start until Faine returns. Zuttah used to start at OLG, but was replaced by Keydrick Vincent this season and reverted back to his old swing backup role. He's a serviceable backup, although he can't replace Faine in terms of leadership or savvy.
