The Packers’ offense operated on all cylinders in the first quarter of their Week Five game in Washington Sunday, jumping out to a 7-0 lead and threatening to score again as the quarter ended. But the rash of injuries that has plagued the team early this season continued, with TE Jermichael Finley carted off the field with a knee injury, and TE Donald Lee leaving the game with a shoulder injury after scoring on a five-yard TD catch from Aaron Rodgers.

A sideline report indicated that Finley’s return to the game was questionable, but Lee was expected not to return. DE Ryan Pickett also injured an ankle, but he was expected to return to the game after the ankle was taped.

Lee’s TD was set up by a 71-yard run by Brandon Jackson, the Packers’ longest run so far this season.
