Take a quick stroll down memory lane with PFW for a recap of the Bears' Week Five contests each of the last five seasons:

2009: BYE.

2008: QB Kyle Orton helped the Bears score 31 unanswered points to start the game, and Chicago went on to defeat the Lions 34-7. Orton threw for a then-career best 334 yards and had two touchdowns in the contest. Rashied Davis led all receivers with 97 receiving yards. DE Adewale Ogunleye led the way on the defensive front, recording 1½ sacks.

2007: The Bears got the best of the Packers when QB Brian Griese found TE Desmond Clark for the game-winning score with 2:05 left in the game, helping to lead Chicago to a 27-20 victory. The Bears came back from a 10-point deficit. Clark's touchdown grab was preceded by a 36-yard field goal from PK Robbie Gould and rookie TE Greg Olsen's 19-yard touchdown. Lance Briggs led all defenders with 16 tackles.

2006: The Bears scored on their first five possessions en route to a 40-7 stomping of the Bills. RB Thomas Jones had the majority of the carries, rushing for 110 yards, but it was RB Cedric Benson who scored Chicago's two rushing touchdowns. WR Bernard Berrian was the Bears' leading receiver with 97 yards and a TD, while DE Mark Anderson recorded two sacks. The Bears improved to 5-0 on the season.

2005: After taking a four-point lead into the fourth quarter, the Bears surrendered 14 points in a 20-10 loss to the Browns. The defense played well for the majority of the game, before allowing QB Trent Dilfer to connect with WR Antonio Bryant for two fourth-quarter scores. Jones led the Bears' offense with 137 yards on the ground, and Orton's pass to WR Marc Edwards accounted for Chicago's lone touchdown. S Mike Brown and CB Charles Tillman each had interceptions.
