Buccaneers MLB Barrett Ruud was angry when the team caved to OLT Donald Penn, giving Penn a long-term deal in late July after he stayed away from offseason practices. Ruud had been seeking a multi-year contract, too, but he attended OTAs and still didn't receive the offer he was hoping for. He even considered walking out of training camp because of the dispute. Observers say he seemed to put those feelings aside not too long after Penn received his deal. While it's believed that Ruud still wants to end his career with the Bucs, getting a chance to hit the open market this offseason may intrigue him, whether there is a lockout or not. Ruud was the team's top tackler in each of the past three seasons, and he's leading the Bucs in that category again in 2010, but he's not without critics. Some were very critical of his performance vs. Carolina in Week Two.
