Raiders RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers after missing his third consecutive practice on Friday.
RB Michael Bush is expected to get the start. McFadden leads the Raiders with 392 rushing yards on 85 carries this season. He already has 35 more rushing yards than he had all of last year.
RB Michael Bennett (hamstring), OL Robert Gallery (hamstring), DT John Henderson (foot) and WR Chaz Schillens (knee) are among those listed as out.
The way we see it
McFadden, a 2008 first-round draft pick, has been a pleasant surprise for the Raiders' offense this season. Bush, the starter last year, is more built to carry a heavy load for the Raiders. With the 20th-ranked passing offense, the Raiders would prefer to have both backs in and healthy.
Bush would be a good start in fantasy, as he will get a majority of the carries on Sunday as opposed to his usual split with McFadden. Until the Raiders establish a passing game, Bush is their best offensive threat with McFadden out.
