Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Minnesota's Week Five game against the Jets.

Vikings defense vs. Jets TE Dustin Keller

There are viable reasons why Keller has 254 receiving yards and five TDs through four games: He's among the more talented receiving tight ends in the NFL and he has earned the respect of QB Mark Sanchez. Keller runs a full route tree, and though he doesn't have prototypical size for the position, he uses his body well and can run and get open.

The Vikings have had problems covering tight ends. Head coach Brad Childress doesn't think there's much commonality between the breakdowns, but the team has experimented with its nickel package. Right now, LB Chad Greenway stays on the field and Ben Leber gives way to E.J. Henderson most of the time. The good news is that there is more depth in the secondary, so the team can choose to match Keller up with a linebacker (most often Greenway), a safety (likely Husain Abdullah) or perhaps even a corner (maybe Chris Cook) when Keller lines up wide or flexed out.
