The Redskins have reached an agreement with P Hunter Smith.

Smith is expected to take over the punting duties for Josh Bidwell, who injured his hip during pre-game warm-ups prior to the Redskins' Week Three game against the Rams.

Smith appeared in 13 games for Washington last season, averaging 41.3 yards per punt.

Way we see it

Bidwell fulfilled his punting duties last week, but apparently will be unable to in Week Five. The Redskins will have to carry two punters on the roster, meaning a counter move will be made shortly.
