Pull out your NFL schedule, preferably the one in the back of your Pro Football Weekly preview magazine.
Look to Week Eight.
Scan down the games.
And there is is: Vikings at Patriots.
Sure, Monday's Vikings-Jets game just got more interesting with Randy Moss being traded.
But how about the Moss reunion in New England on All Hallow's Eve?
it doesn't get much better than that.
I can't wait to see how Moss is integrated into the offense at that point. i can't wait to see how Bill Belichick chooses to defend his former receiver.
And far more than the Donovan McNabb thing on Sunday, I am interested to see how the Patriots fans react to Moss in purple.
Consider this: The team was 40-12 in his New England career, with 15 of those starts coming from Matt Cassel. Moss caught 50 TDs in 52 games with them. And yet everyone is going to say this: He didn't win the big one.
One Plaxico Burress TD catch can't underscore what Moss did with the Patriots, though.
On any other night, of course, Moss coming back to New England would be big, big news.
But there's just something fitting and fantastic about what day it happens to land on the schedule.
