Michael Vick told a Virginia Beach radio station that his rib cartilage injury won't keep him out of the Eagles lineup for long, saying he'll miss "maybe a week, maybe two weeks. ... Usually I'm a fast healer, so we'll have to see."
Vick was injured on a long scramble at the end of the first quarter in Week Four vs. the Redskins. The Eagles travel to San Francisco this Sunday and host a team Vick is familiar with, the Atlanta Falcons, in Week Six.
"This is going to be one of those day-to-day, week-to-week (injuries)," Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Monday. "We'll just see how it goes and how he feels along the way."
The way we see it
Vick's absence means Kevin Kolb will be under center this week vs. the 49ers. Kolb was the team's starter in Week One, but left that game due to a concussion and lost his job after Vick played well in his place.
