Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett was arrested early Tuesday morning for driving while impaired.

Jarrett was pulled over on I-77 in Charlotte just past 2 a.m., according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spokesman. He was released on $2,000 bond. It is the second arrest in three years for the receiver, who pleaded guilty to DWI after a March 2008 arrest in a Charlotte suburb.

The way we see it

Jarrett has had a disappointing career in Carolina since being a second-round pick in 2007, catching only 35 passes in his four seasons. He was expected to see more playing time soon with an injury to Panthers star WR Steve Smith, but now it is unknown what head coach John Fox will decide to do regarding his status.
