The Chargers signed OLB Cyril Obiozor from the Cardinals practice squad on Tuesday and re-signed CB Dante Hughes. They placed LB Jyles Tucker on injured reserve.

Obiozor played in five games with the Packers last season. Tucker, who started 12 games in 2008, recorded just three tackles in three games this season before suffering a torn pectoral muscle.

The way we see it

These are mainly moves to help the special teams and fill in for injured players. Hughes has been on and off the roster multiple times since the beginning of the season, and Obiozor is just a body at LB, where the Chargers have been hit extremely hard by injuries.
