Texans RB Arian Foster did not start against the Raiders in Week Four because of a coach's decision, according to multiple reports.

Foster ran for 231 yards and three TDs in Week One then 106 rushing yards in Week Three. Foster led the NFL in rushing through three games.

RB Derrick Ward ran for a 33-yard TD in the first quarter on Sunday in Foster's absence. RB Steve Slaton also got some carries. Foster entered the game in the second quarter.

The way we see it

It's unknown what Foster did to end up in head coach Gary Kubiak's doghouse on Sunday, but it's clear that he is not injured. The Texans have two capable backups in Ward and Slaton, not to mention a prolific passing offense, but it's worth keeping an eye on Foster's status as the season goes on.
