A Raiders observer recently said that when healthy, the oft-injured Chaz Schilens has the potential to be the team's No. 1 receiver. That's true, but Louis Murphy, who also has to compete with Darrius Heyward-Bey for targets, is doing all he can to prove he's the go-to guy while Schilens is sidelined by knee and foot injuries. Since Bruce Gradkowski took over at quarterback in the second half of the Week Two game vs. the Rams, Murphy has 10 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown. Drops were a major issue for Murphy as a rookie last season, but that hasn't been a problem for him yet this year. Some are speculating that Schilens will be out at least a few more weeks, and Oakland doesn't have a bye until Week 10, so Murphy won't have to worry about Schilens taking snaps from him for a while. Murphy was limited in practice this week by a bruised clavicle, but he's expected to be active on Sunday vs. the Texans.
